I am a first-generation, Salvadoran-American, Welding Technologies graduate. I truly enjoy welding and am glad I was able to study this trade, but I did not accomplish it on my own. The Horatio Alger Association helped me become a first-generation college graduate, and for that I am grateful. I was always given the guidance I needed with navigating the tools the foundation has, as well as managing my scholarship funds.
